New members may start in beginner or advanced based on their own skill level. (Please click on the Competition>Levels menu item above for more information.)

Judging is conducted by a panel of six judges selected from the membership at a particular meeting. Judging is based on a 10 point system which means that up to 60 points are available for each slide, (10 points per judge time 6 judges). Judges are asked to evaluate the following qualities and award points accordingly:

 Exposure Focus Composition Lighting
Angle of view Artistic Distractions Design

On June 26, 2008 the club began print competitions using light boxes and a panel of 3 judges.  Our print categories are Monochrome and Color. Normally, members can enter up to 1 print in mono-chrome and 1 in color (however on 6/26/08 members can bring 2 prints for each category).

We also enter our members' prints in the Council competitions.
